An Interview with a Legend, Jake Gayewski!

Jake is a Legend all over New England for multiple things. It's said that he once jumped over 12 school buses while doing a barrel roll, on a big wheel.
The truth is Jake is known for for his skills, Among them are: Bike riding, street, and park. Skateboarding. Getting HJ's. Handling meat. And being an all around Badass.
Were sitting in his living room and I'm going to ask him deep penetrating questions and have fun while doing it.

How do you like living in Webster?
Haha I honestly dont mind it. I've been living here my whole life. its time for me to get out and live somewhere else for a little while.

What do you do for fun here in Webster?
There really isn't that much to do in Webster. Im usually only here to eat, sleep, and shit. I usually go out to Worcester and ride around there and chill with friends.

Where do you typically ride? also what are the specs of your ride?
I usually ride street. I do a lot of grinding. I usually try to find the most fucked up set ups to ride. My bike is an S&M Randy Brown. Its got a 20.75" top tube. The frame itself is actually to light for me. Im scared of breaking it. Im looking to get a Terrible One frame.

If you could live anywhere where would it be?
I would like to travel more and find a nice place. But as for now, I just want to live somewhere warm wheres theres no snow. Maybe some place like Virginia or something. IM not a fan of the west coast really.

Who was your favorite character in land before time?
Not gonna lie, never seen the movie

What type of music music do you listen to? what are some bands we should know about?
Im into different types of music. Depends on the day and my mood really. You guys should know about Gaslight Anthem, Osker, Lifetime, Northstar. I could go on for days about bands and music.

Are you sponsored by anyone for riding? Anyone else you would love to be sponsored by?
Well i technically ride for this company 90east. Its really just a bunch of good friends riding around and filming a bunch of things. The video should be done about March. Everyone needs to grab that. I also ride for Eastern Boarder worcester I guess as well. I would love to be sponsored by a shoe company cause i loves shoes and i go thru them like nothing.

Are you a shoe aficionado? what's your brand?
I just love shoes for some reason. They all fit different. Ive always liked having nice clean shoes. When I ride my shoes are usually shitty cause I always have to but my foot down cause I have no breaks. I have a shit ton of Nike sb's that ive never worn. Some of them are just crazy looking. The brands of shoes I like are Vans, Lakai, and Emerica, Theres just somehting about shoes i love.
What are your favorite pick-up lines?
The one that I like, its hard to explain in word form. Just ask me and ill tell you.

What's your favorite internet meme?
The End Of The World!
Who is your favorite porn star?
Guy or girl?

What was your reaction to 2 girls 1 cup?
I filmed that shit.

Thats about it for now Jake, Thanks for you insight. Have anything you want to add?
Just have fun. Don't take things to seriously.

Ok jake where can the readers send their hate mail to?

New! self titled 'Say Anything' album!

I've been listing to this album for about a week now and it hasn't left my cd player yet. Every song is just awesome. They have matured in their sound some and incorperated q bit more of electric accents. Max Bemis is the man, he has talent, being able to look in he mirror and write about what he sees. Did you know that bi-polar people or anyone with a mental issue are more creative because hey have a different way of looking at things, perspective. The transistions in each song from fast to slow, loud to soft are examples that mimic being bipolar. anyways, if you like Say Anything or don't I suggest you give it a listen. My favorites so far are, Property, death for my birthday, do better. I've posted the YouTube videos below. Leave some feedback. Say Anything

Holset Hx35 on a Built JDM 3SGTE swapped into a 1997 Toyota Celica GT.

I can't believe I haven't posted this sooner, I forgot all about my Celica's dyno video.
Like the video says Mike Bruell & Myself made 330whp & 250wtq at 14.5lbs boost (1bar).

Here's a couple drive by videos for your enjoyment.
I know it doesn't look like I'm going fast but that last pass I hit 120mph easily.
In the 2nd pass you can hear the tires break free then 8,500rpm rev limiter.

Ok, and below just to show you guys the engine is now in the MR.
Heres a video of it RIGHT after I got it in the car, there was no exhaust, the timing was off and It hadn't been tuned. So yeah I know it sounded like shit in the video but it was just to show
people I completed the swap. Since then everything and more has been done to that engine.
Thats going to be my next post ;)

The 91 JDM 3sgte 9.0:1 comp engine is built with these mods:
AEM Full Standalone Unit
Holset Hx35 Turbo
Forged 87mm CP pistons
Forged Eagle H-beam Rods
Balanced, Blueprinted, micro-polished Internals
Wolkatz Top Feed fuel rail
Aeromotive FPR 1.1
870cc Delphi Injectors
HKS 264 ex 272 in Cams
Eagle valve springs
RMR Intake Manifold
Heat resistant resin intake manifold gasket
70mm Mustang Throttle Body
Cometic head gasket
ARP headstuds
Custom 3" V-band downpipe
Fidanza cam gears
Solid motor mounts
Aem Uego Wideband o2
Gm boost solenoid
Gm 3 Bar Map
Spec (clutchmaster) stage 3 clutch
HKS Super Mega Flow intake filter (actual name haha)
Apexi dual-drive blow off valve
12x12 Oil cooler
Canton Racing Oil relocation fitting.
3" mandrel bent side exhaust W/ huge muffler & resonator
300x600x3" Bar and Plate Front mount intercooler W/ 2.5" to 3" mandrel bent piping

Not bad power.
This was a break in tune so we didn't turn the boost up, It was set to the wastegate spring, 1 bar.
Which is unfortunate because at 1 bar this turbo wasn't even in its efficiency range yet.
Around 22+ lbs is were this turbo comes alive and really puts down power.
Currently I'm building a 2.2L stroker 5SGTE, 8:1 compression ratio.
With this turbo in my MR2, Plan to run 30lbs of boost on pump gas daily, but thats another post.

Anyways, don't be afraid to leave me a comment.
Mike Bruell is a great tuner and is always up to the challenge of tuning vehicles.
If you would like us to tune your vehicle send me an email.Heres more pics of the celica.

Tether your Jailbroken iPhone!

If you have an iPhone, and the desire to use At&t's "unlimited" data usage contract to the full extent, Then you want to "Tether"!
Tethering is when you use your cellular network as an Ad-HOC Wi-Fi network.
Now since your contract has a mandatory unlimited data plan might as well use it, right?
Picture yourself out in the middle of the woods, you have no Wi-Fi and you need to... Play some World Of Warcraft or something just as productive.

The best way to do this is to jailbreak your device, and download an app called PDAnet. You can use the demo for as long as you like, I bought it since I use it all the time, as I am on it now actually. Once downloaded you create Ad-Hoc network connection through your computer, name the network whatever you want, then connect to it on your iphone.
It's fast, secure, and easy to use.

Round two! My new best Iphone apps!

After modding my iPhone more with a sweet hero htc theme I had the over drive app bug push me to scower the iTunes store for some gems. I'm happy to say I found some great apps! First on the list is spikey, this game is free and addicting, loads of levels and superb gameplay. The northface has a mint snow report app, with the snow coming I can't wait to hit the slopes!

You know what.... here are the screen shots of all my apps!

I was wrong, Mc.Cafe' garbage is pretty awesome!

It's hard for me to admit I was wrong, especially when I originally expressed my distaste for Mc,Cafe trash with such conviction. Hey Ronald, I'm sorry, I appoligize. Today I bought an iced mocha with caramel syrup mixed in along with whipped cream and chocolate sauce spread over the top of the cup, I need a picture to show you guys so I went and bought another one. It was very tasty not to sweet, not bitter, it was just perfect. So if your like me and scoffed at it please try it before you knock it, you won't regret it!

1,000,000 FPS Slow Motion Video of Bullet Impacts!

You have got to watch this video, It's truly breath taking.
The shear power of a little piece of metal shot out of a barrel.
In the video they even shoot a bullet with a bullet from a 90* angle!
To have that kind of control and precision timing is unbelievable.
Let me know If you enjoyed It.

The Facts! iPhone 3GS vs G1 Android vs Blackberry Storm.

Notice I didn't post subjective features like "has a qwerty keyboard", or "has one giant clicky button screen" because that's just user preference. What I posted below is raw data, you can't say "I like having less RAM" know what I mean.

All this proves is that the 3GS is better in almost every category listed. Having a faster cpu and more ram allows it to perform faster with larger more complex software running. It's lighter and smaller than the competition, even with the largest screen.
All specs are from here www.gsmarena.com

Port, Polished, Decked, Pressure & stress tested, Polished Combustion Chamber Domes.

I had my head all cleaned up and Port, Polished, Decked, Pressure & stress tested, Polished Combustion Chamber Domes.

All the work was done by my friend, He does great work.
It should add more than like 40+ hp, Atleast thats what we're expecting.
The intake ports are perfectly matched. They are nice and rough (to keep fuel from sticking to the sides. The casting marks are all gone which makes the air flow smoother.
The head was decked, A nice flat surface to mate the block to.
Polished combustion domes reduce the chances of having a hot spot, which leads to detonation.
The exhaust ports were only slightly ported to keep exhaust velocity high, and they are mirror polished. Oh, the valves we lapped also.
heres some pics:

Decked & polished combustion domes ^

Hyundai Genesis & Herb Chambers.

Today my buddies and I went to Herb Chambers of Auburn Mass to test drive a Hyundai Genesis.
We wanted to test drive the 2 liter turbo one but it wasn't going to be as easy as we thought it would be. I snapped some pictures of the car, the Brembo brakes and the size of the rotors were impressive. The interior was nice... it has gone the way of most cars with lots of plastic and gaudy chrome accents. The leather/cloth seats were actually very nice and comfortable, all power at that.

Anyway, we wanted to test drive it and the salesmen there just weren't going to have it.
They were comparing the Genesis to a Viper and how they can't let every Tom Dick and Harry test drive it. We basically said you're all retarded and your Hyundai isn't remotely close to a Viper, good day Sir. I said Good day!

We plan to get to a better dealership in the next week to test drive one before I slander the Genesis anymore than I have. It's a Hyundai! The only upside to the 2 liter turbo is that I hear it's a detuned EVO engine. The cars visual styling isn't all that amazing but for the modest sum of money they are going for it is expected.

Future Plans to Host DigitalAddict on a Home Server.

Since the launch of Digital Addict I’ve been looking into how websites are hosted, who hosts them and the average price to have space on a server. I have been looking around the interwebs and found plenty of sits that allow inexpensive hosting. I’ve also found hosts that have every option in the book available for premium loot $$$.

DA (DigitalAddict) Isn’t a huge site right now... but I plan to grow it larger. I’d like to implement features like membership and personal profile pages, a message board, a live chatroom, possibly DigitalAddict gear like t-shirts and mouse pads, who knows.

I’ve been looking at mostly going the Apache server route. It’s free open source software that allows you to convert any computer hooked up to the web to be a server. This would be a great route, depending on the computers capabilities, to have control of your own server and not be at the mercy of some third party server.

While looking around I found an Interesting article about using your iPhone as a web server! Now the size of the site that you could possible host would be pretty small and to keep it functional wouldn’t consist of anything more than some text and maybe some emotioncons. Though the iPhone server wouldn’t really be practical for what I’m aspiring to create, it is still a cool option that I plan to host something off my phone. At&t hates me already since my iPhone is hacked and I use my “unlimited” internet access tethered to my laptop all the time, stealing some more bandwidth from them would be pretty cool.

Now for a more practical idea. I’ve noticed a trend with hosting were the server is a Mac Mini. Being an Apple fan, when I saw this was possible and actually really easy to setup. I began fantasizing about having an intel based mac mini with about 500gb and 2-4gb ram. not stopping there though, the thought of having an iOmega 2Tb mini drive stacked on top of the mini.... an Apple Airport Extreme. Since they all have the same footprint a tower of them would take up less space than any pc tower.

My interview with Ashley Elizabeth, Author of...

My interview with Ashley Elizabeth, Author of her blog "LOST IN INEBRIATION".
As we sit here watching family guy at our buddy's Matt's house we decide to do an interview of her to see what she's really all about.

so I hear that you've been a groupie with a lot of bands, who are they exactly and who's your favorite?

Haha, I wouldn't call myself a groupie. I'm just an avid music fan and I like going to concerts. Some of my friends are crew members for different bands, so I get guest listed for different shows and meet a lot of interesting people. I'm sworn to secrecy for the guys who are actually in bands who have fallen in love with my unquestionable charm and grace! Sorry!

what was it like growing up in a poverty stricken town and being raised by wolves?

It was rough at first, but you learn to adapt and when I got older, I became the leader of my pack. Howling at the moon sucked, though. It really does a number on your vocal cords. Sometimes I couldn't speak for days afterwards.

whats the first thing that comes into you mind when I say "sexual harassment"?

Panda.

what movies are you looking forward to see this winter?

Well, it comes out in the Fall- but 'Where The Wild Things Are' is top of my list. It looks so good. Ummm, other than that? I have no idea what's coming out! Is there a 'Cloverfield' sequel in the works? I'd be pretty excited for that.

Are you greek?

Hahaha! I know where this is going. I'm not Greek. I'm French and English with a bunch of other stuff mixed in. And no, I'm not Jewish either!

What do you think of President Obama's health care program?

I think we should give it a chance. This country followed the same leadership for eight years and there were no improvements to our economy and to health care. Obama is taking a chance, and what people seem to forget is that if that chance doesn't work, or as a collective we don't like where that chance takes us, we can always go back and try something else.

Here's a question from Matt who's in the "office" with us right now.
If you were to kill someone who would it be (why) and where would you hide the body?

Oh man. That's a tough one. I don't really loathe anyone enough to want to kill them, but in a perfect world I could drop a piano on Ann Coultier or Nancy Grace and get a medal for it. Why? Because they're insufferable cunts. Can I use that word in this interview? It's such a good word. I'd probably do what a lot of movie villains DON'T do that gets them caught. Incinerate the bodies, people. Incinerators destroy your sins.

Wow, well this was a great interview and I hope we can do it again sometime. Until next time Ashley thanks for being so awesome.

Thanks for having me, John. This was a lot of fun- and thanks for watching 'Archer' with me tonight. That's going to be a great series. I hope I talk to you soon! Like, in five minutes on the car ride home!

You heard it here first, I'm Kurt Loader and this has been another installment of talking to the stars.

How to replace the stock ignitor & coil with MSD 6A & AEM EMS. Mr2celica sw20 st205 st204

This is for 91-93 Toyota MR2's (SW20)
This theory could be applied to similar vehicles such as 93-99 celicas.

I wrote this about a year ago on MR2oc.com to help the members remove the stock ignitor and coil and replace them with an MSD 6A unit. This can only be done if you have an aftermarket ecu, such as AEM EMS. So here it is, I hope this help anyone who find it.

Just like the diagram states, you need to move the jumper inside the AEM unit. It's JPC1, it has three pins in a row with a jumper that jumps two of the three pins together.
The jumper can only be set 2 ways, so just set it the opposite way from they way it was when you opened the unit up. To get into the unit you need to take out a small allen head screw that locks the board in place, just make sure you put it back in after your done and don't loose it because it is quite small. I suggest soldering and shrink wrapping every connection.

If you have any questions leave me a comment on here.

Tanner Foust's "Scion tC"

Is it awesome? Hell yeah. Is it a scion tc? Hell no.
I bet on the scion message boards theres fanboys going OMG that scion tc is so cool! I'm gunna build one!
Yeah.... right. I like how it's RWD and built with Toyota's V8 Nascar engine, but labeling it a scion tc is just wrong.
It's practically a tube frame chassis drag car with a fiberglass body. Labeling aside this car is mint though, Huge kudos to the builders and fabricators who made this beast.
650 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque through a four-speed shifter with an AEM EMS.

Oh and I found this gem as a comment here.
"anyone that says "S13", "S14", "S15", "AE86", or "R32" will be asked to leave because cars have names and only douchebag ricers refer to cars by production codes."
I think he's just sad because he doesn't know what any of those letters and numbers mean. :D

The Celicas "life in pictures"

I've learned so much about cars and engines with the car. It was the best car I could have ever asked for. I bought it in NH from a girl in her 20's, the first thing I did was bodykit it up.
Then I wanted speed, you can see the progression of my mechanical abilities haha.
As it sits now It has had just about every performance part replaced with proper parts, done properly, after years of learning.

My First body kit, The VIS invader front. Which I ran over going off roading on accident.

5sfte 2002 uncharted then.

JDM 3sgte first swap. you can seem my mechanical ability increase.
